Bygones
Waves of despair weave through
checkering the fabric of life,
Leaving the skin numb'd
exposed to complacency.
Take me back to yesterday,
when I knew not enough;
yet loved all I had...
could ask for more,
Without fear of gluttony,
or desperation to rejoice.
Pass'd that experienced oblivion,
born of a different complacency.
Time when questions many,
matter'd nor answers,
Those virtues usurped
consequences unimagined!
